The pickups are noticably brighter and punchier than the P90s in my 1965 ES330, which is a very sweet sounding guitar. The general quality of woodwork is higher as well and they're very nicely finished. It's a poly finish but far thinner and better applied than on a Korean or Chinese Casino. ![]() I much prefer the neck on my friend's fairly recent one to my 90s version which is more like a '66 Gibson shape and width. The necks on the current one is I think specified at 1 5/8ths nut width and a C profile, so it's slightly narrower than a Gibson 60s slim taper but not tiny. ![]() I have the predecessor to the Elite/Elitist, made for the domestic market in Japan and a little closer to the Korean style Casinos (Maple neck, 17 fret body join).
